sonmarg is appr 80 kms away from city of srinagar.the drive from srinagar to sonmarg is one of the most beautiful drives in kashmir,as you drive in car you will see beautiful corn fields along the way and the white waters of flowing sindh will accompany you.as you drive you will see lot of small villages built on the banks of river.

the valley of sonmarg lies on the banks of river sindh,this beautiful pristine valley is surrounded with snow covered mountain peaks and vast lands of grass.the thajwas glacier is nearby sonmarg,you can go by walk or hire ponies to visit this glacier where snow can be seen most of the time.
